ABOUT THECODONTIA

THECODONTIA is a historic definition for “socket teeth” reptiles - while now obsolete, this former clade describes many of the animals which I reconstruct, and are featured on this website!

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name’s Dan Folkes. I’m a Palaeontology and Evolution masters student at Bristol University. I am particularly interested in giant, extinct reptiles, including dinosaurs, pterosaurs, marine reptiles, and the variety of life before and after.

My work has been featured in a few peer-reviewed articles which I have had the pleasure of working with researchers and reconstructing newly described and iconic genera, including the spinosaurids Ceratosuchops and Riparovenator, and the early tyrannosaur Eotyrannus.
